Scones

Ingredients:

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 3 T sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 110 5 cold unsalted butter
  • 300 g whole milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375f.

  1. In a food processor combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Pulse 2-3 times to combine.
  3. Add cold butter and pulse until bread crumbs consistency.
  4. Dump everything from the food processor into a large bowl and make a well in the middle.
  5. Pour milk in the well and incorporate until there a just a few dry flour bits.
  6. Dump on the counter and knead 3-5 times until the dough comes together.
  7. Roll into a circle that is 1.5 inches high.
  8. Cut like a pizza so that you have 8 slices.
  9. Places scones on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
  10. Cook for 20 minutes.
  11. Let scones rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
